Animal anatomy Birthday calendar
Never forget a birthday again with this special birthday calendar! A great gift for veterinary or biology students, lovers of the vintage style prints or of course for yourself. Each month showcases the anatomy of a different animal, with an annotated medical illustration of (part of) the skeletal system and a selection of organs. The illustrations are made with watercolor and pencil, which were then scanned and annotated digitally . Here is an overview of which animals are shown each month:
January: the anatomy of a dog (in this case my studio dog Sjors)
February: the anatomy of a fish (a carp)
March: anatomy of a goat
April: anatomy of a rabbit
May: anatomy of a domestic cat
June: anatomy of a mare
July: anatomy of a (grass) snake
August: anatomy of a mouse
September: anatomy of a cow
October: anatomy of a pigeon
November; anatomy of a sow
December: anatomy of a stag
Each day of the month has two lines, enough space to add the Birthdays of your friends, family and colleagues. The text on the calendar is in English.
The calendar has a wire-o binding with a hook. It is printed on A4 250 grams - so nice and thick - biotop paper. Biotop paper is a naturally bleached type of paper. This means that no optical brighteners, such as chlorine, are involved in the production. The color of the paper is off-white, which gives it a natural, off-white, slightly vintage look. No new trees are used for Biotop paper, but wood residues from sawmills.
